GUIDE TO THE MAGIC CARD
Games:
REFLEX GAME (for 1-5 people)
The card-dealer shuffles the pack of cards, picks it up face-down and puts two cards face-up on the table.
Task:
The players look at the cards and look for the symbols on the two cards that are similar both in colour and in shape. If one of the symbols is big (big symbol in the middle), it is better to point at the big one. If both of the symbols are small then any of the symbols can be pointed at. (One player can point at only one card.) The quicker player pointing at the right card, gets the card. The card-dealer gives the player the card that was pointed at. Then he puts another card on the table so that there would always be 2 cards on the table. If the two players point correctly at both of the cards at the same time, they both get the cards they are pointing at, in which case the card-dealer puts 2 additional cards on the table.
No one can make circular movements above the cards nor search with the hand. The symbol has to be pointed at with a single definite movement.
If someone hesitates (hand moves but then is pulled back) or points at a wrong symbol or even points at a small symbol instead of a big one, the card-dealer can take back all the cards from the player and can put the cards back into the pack (so that they can carry on playing).
The aim is to recognize the similarity immediately and to point at the correct symbol with a steady hand as quickly as possible.
THE PLAYER WHO HAS MOST OF THE CARDS BY THE TIME THE CARD-DEALER HAS NO MORE LEFT IS THE WINNER.
MEMORY GAME (for 1-4 people)
Preparation: The pack of 21 cards has to be shuffled and put on the table in 3 lines face-down.
Game: The first player turns up 3 cards. He can get the 3 cards only if the central symbols are similar in shape (e.g. all three have a dragon in the middle). If he cannot find 3 identical mid-symbols in the first round, everybody should memorize which symbol they see in which location because the cards have to be turned down again in the same place where they were. Now the next player turns up 3 cards. If he is able to find 3 cards with identical symbols in the middle, he gets the cards and it is his turn again to turn up the next 3 cards. When he is finished, it is the other player's turn. The game goes on till there are no cards left.
THE WINNER IS THE ONE WHO COLLECTS MOST OF THE CARDS.
Have fun.
